Still Not Happy About Healthcare?

Health Reform Passed, but many progressives do not feel very good about it. Why?  Is it because we didn’t get a single-payer system, or Medicare-for-all, or a robust public-option. If so, then should we take up the fight for one of these things immediately ? I don’t think so because a deeper reason we are still unhappy is that we recognize that there are  many big problems in America such as wars, environmental deterioration, unemployment, gross inequality, and so on.  Healthcare by itself, even the very best kind of healthcare for everyone, is only a partial answer. Are we to wage a long, drawn out battle for the satisfaction of each and everyone one of our basic needs?. The thought of that is quite exhausting and depressing. If we want to renew and strengthen ourselves for the long and difficult journey ahead, and actually get there, then the next step for progressives is a National Safety Net because NSN  brings together a lot of intelligent people, who are working on a lot of vital matters, under one vision, one direction, one grand prize, and when it is signed into law we will have finally finished the foundation of happiness for all, rather than endlessly continuing the chase or pursuit of happiness.
